Community Update Newsletters

Anyone looking for the most up-to-date local news on the G8 Summit need look no further.

The Community Update newsletter answers frequently asked questions, as well as providing the latest police and council updates on local arrangements for the event.

Delivered to 6,000 households in Auchterarder and surrounding areas, the newsletter is part of Tayside Police and Perth and Kinross Council's commitment to keep local people informed.

The autumn edition of Community Update included a G8 Factfile and introduced Community Liaison Officer Constable Fraser White. The spring edition contains details on insurance and community activities, and reports on plans for traffic management and community policing.

A special summit edition of the newsletter is now available from the G8 office at Auchterarder Police Station and council offices. The new edition of Community Update features information on how the G8 Summit will impact on local roads, public transport and other service changes.

Local people are being urged to keep hold of the newsletter as a source of information and contact details.
